Coming Home: A High Holiday Journey

What is this course?

The High Holiday season is a time of return. It’s a return to the beginning of the yearly calendar, and in the spiritual timeline, to the beginning of Creation. Internally, it is a time to return to ourselves, to life and to our Divine belonging. The process of returning – teshuvah in Hebrew – is at the core of the practices of this season and is a potent guide toward inner and outer growth. This six-part course with Rabbi Ami Silver is a journey through various portals of returning that this time of year offers, inviting us to connect through the particular pathways of teshuvah that emerge during the month of Elul, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. Guided by powerful teachings related to teshuvah and the High Holiday season, we will engage in deep learning and embodied practice to access the potency and support that this season holds. This course is particularly geared to help us connect to the energy of this time of year and to the invitation of teshuvah, a divine invitation to return home – to ourselves and to our Source. This course is open to novices and advanced learners of all backgrounds and levels. All texts will be provided with clear line-by-line translations, and no prior knowledge or experience with the subject matter is necessary. Only your open heart and curious spirit. HOW DOES IT WORK? The course consists of six weekly sessions of approximately 90 minutes each. You are welcome to join the weekly live Zoom sessions or watch or listen to the recorded sessions at your own pace. Each session includes studying primary texts as well as guided practices to ground the learning in embodied experience. Registrants gain lifetime access to all the course materials.
