Divine Intimacy Cohort

What is this course?

"I am YHVH, your healer." (Exodus 15:26) Join us as we explore what it means to live in intimate, healing relationship with the Infinite Mystery, through everything we encounter, within and without. We will gather together for 12 sessions that will consist of learning, discussion, sharing and meditative practices, which will include prompts for reflection, writing or drawing, guided embodied practices and visualizations, and prompts for conversations with others. Subjects covered include: Prophecy as intimacy with the Divine The Jewish path toward Prophecy & its relevance for us Da'at - awareness, self-awareness & intimate, embodied awareness of the Divine Emunah - faith, faithfulness & creative imagination Working with our thoughts & emotions Ego and humility The Divine in our bodies / the return to sacred physicality Redemption & the Messiah The restoration of the Divine Feminine Jews & Humanity - an evolving conversation from particularism to universalism Participants will be given the option to journey with a spiritual chevruta (partner) throughout the course. Participants and their partners will decide their degree of monthly commitment. Chevrutot will be encouraged to explore: 1) How can we best integrate the teachings and practices into our daily lives? 2) How might we best share them with others, who may benefit from them? All texts are provided in Hebrew and English translation. This course is open to novices and advanced learners of all backgrounds and orientations. HOW IT WORKS The course consists of 12 facilitated monthly sessions of 2 hours each, augmented by optional additional meetings between participants. Each session includes: 1) Text study, discussion, meditative practices and exercises. The recording of each session will be sent out afterward for participants to enjoy at your convenience. 2) A printable handout of the relevant texts, provided in full translation. ​ There will also be a WhatsApp group for sharing and supporting one another on this journey. DATES AND TIMES Sundays at 9am Pacific / 12pm Eastern / 5pm UK / 7pm Israel and the relevant hours in your time zones, for 2 hours each time.
