Community Gathering for October 7
Available spots
What is this course?
Shalom friends, Please join our community, as we meditate, grieve, and pray together, on the anniversary of the worst tragedy our people has known since the Shoah. In the face of catastrophe, we may feel an understandable urge to simply turn away, distract ourselves from reality, or surrender to despair. Our people has known for a long time that our path is otherwise. Instead of denying our painful reality, we have long gathered together in our collective grief and hope, strengthening ourselves and one another, daring to remember the truth of what has happened, how deep is our heartbreak, and how mighty is our longing for a better world. We remember to honor the precious lives of all those who have been murdered. We remember to honor all those who have suffered and sacrificed in myriad ways. And we remember to honor the potential for life to be so much more, to reinvigorate and deepen our service of life. Please join us, and, if you feel so moved, please play an active role in the event. After you register, you will receive an invitation to contribute your voice to our gathering, should you wish. WHEN IS IT? Monday, October 7 at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm UK / 8pm Israel and the relevant hours in your time zones, for 1 hour.
