Join us for one month of our year-round journey of spiritual learning and practice, based on the Kabbalistic understanding of our calendar.

In this course, taught by Rabbi Daniel Raphael Silverstein, we will explore what happened (or happens) when in our yearly cycle, and how this has been interpreted through the millennia. This includes the cycles of nature, water and agriculture that shape our calendar's contours, as well as stories about people.

We will focus most of all on the insights of the Kabbalists, and how they relate to our personal journey of growth. The unique character and events of each month highlight different aspects of our lives, and offer opportunities for development in that area.

Our journey through the seasons will lead us into deep exploration, in theory and practice, of subjects such as: eating and drinking; music and singing; self-care; breathing; joy and despair; dancing; prayer; sleep and dreams; concentration and distraction; anger; love and many more.

Every month, participants will receive detailed and clear practice instructions for meditative and creative practices that will help to effect tangible changes in our inner lives, our routine activities and our everyday interactions with others.

All texts are provided with clear line-by-line translations, and no prior knowledge or experience with the subject matter is necessary.

How does it work?

Kabbalah Through the Calendar is a year-long journey. This option is to join for one month of it.

Each month, participants will receive:

1) Two recorded classes exploring the events and character of each month throughout our tradition, focusing especially on the Kabbalists and their teachings relating to our inner work. Each class is approximately an hour long and participants are invited to watch or listen to the recordings at their own convenience.

2) Two printable handouts of Jewish textual sources providing a broad and deep perspective of the relevant subjects in Torah and Kaballah, provided in full translation with introductory comments and guiding questions.

3) Clear and down-to-earth instructions for that month’s spiritual practice.

4) An open channel to the teacher.

Registrants gain lifetime access to all of the course materials.

"Learning with Rabbi Daniel has transformed my understanding of Judaism and Kabbalah. He brings down deep wisdom from the sages of our tradition with an eye towards application to daily life. In particular, I appreciate learning with him because we study the original texts, but he presents the ideas in a down-to-earth manner."

- Kalman K.

"To be a female, Jewish-identifying, multi-faith curious, mystic, modern person, I find it grounding and uplifting to learn Kabbalistic perspectives with Rabbi Daniel. I’m now in my second year of the course and intend to continue through as many cycles as are offered, and I highly recommend this learning journey to any seeker."

- Lisa R.

"Thank you Rabbi Daniel for this opportunity to learn with you, for your carefully constructed course content, brilliant insights into the wisdom of our tradition and lovely warmth and humour.
