What is this course?

You're warmly invited to sample one session from this year-long course of growth and transformation, based on the Kabbalistic understanding of our calendar. Together we will experience how, according to our ancient mystical tradition, each month presents a unique opportunity to refine and heal our relationship with vital aspects of our life, including eating, sleep, speech, thought, sexuality, sight, hearing, smell, grief, anger, joy and laughter. Much of our learning and practice will revolve around the festivals and other special days which punctuate, and often exemplify, the character of each month. In each monthly session, we will explore three cluster of key texts, drawn from throughout the ocean of Torah, with our usual focus on mysticism and teachings rich in psychological insight. Each cluster will be accompanied by a relevant meditative or creative practice. Further texts and prompts for creative and meditative practices will be provided, to be enjoyed either on your own or with an optional chevrutah (partner), or a chaburah (small group), to allow you to continue progressing in your own time throughout each month. Participants who choose to opt into chevrutot or chaburot will be matched up according to their preferences and degree of commitment. This course is open to novices and advanced learners of all backgrounds and levels. All texts will be provided with clear line-by-line translations, and no prior knowledge or experience with the subject matter is necessary. HOW IT WORKS The course consists of twelve facilitated monthly sessions of 2 hours each, augmented by optional additional meetings between participants. Each session includes: 1) Text study, discussion, meditative or creative practices and exercises. 2) A printable handout of the relevant texts, provided in full translation. 3) The recording of each session, sent out afterward to enjoy at your convenience. ​ There will also be a WhatsApp group for sharing and supporting one another on this journey. DATES AND TIMES Sundays at 9am Pacific / 12pm Eastern / 5pm UK / 7pm Israel and the relevant hours in your time zones, for 2 hours each time.
