To continue deepening our practice, I’m delighted to share this month’s Hineni with Ami: Yoga and Jewish Spirituality. As the early dusk settles in and the air turns crisp, Kislev arrives with an invitation into the quiet magic of winter — a time when darkness becomes a canvas for dreaming.
Kislev is the month of light and longing — flickers of hope emerging precisely when the nights are longest. It is a month of dreams, intuition, and inner listening, a season that invites us to soften into possibility and notice the sparks that glow in the quiet. This is also the month of the letter Samech — the circular symbol of support and holding.
Ami brings all of this into a 25-minute chair practice, weaving yoga with embodied Jewish teaching in a way that is both grounding and accessible to all levels.
Come as you are! And we’d love your feedback - please reply to this email with anything that will help us tailor this best for YOU!
Integrating Teachings
As always, the teachings echo the themes of Rabbi Daniel’s teachings on each month. These teachings help us embody, integrate, and ground deeper into the profound wisdom of the cycles of Jewish time. They remind us that spirituality is not just an abstract concept but a lived experience.
In this way, we can embrace the essence of Jewish mysticism. We learn to integrate these ancient teachings into our daily lives. This integration fosters a deeper, more embodied spiritual practice.
