Hineni Yoga Practice for Shevat

To continue deepening our practice, we’re delighted to share this month’s Hineni with Ami: Yoga and Jewish Spirituality, guided by the energy of Shevat.

Shevat arrives as winter begins to tilt toward light. It is a month of quiet stirring — when sap rises beneath the bark, and the first intimations of renewal move through the earth. Though the landscape may still appear dormant, growth is already underway, patiently and steadily.

This month’s practice weaves yoga with embodied Jewish wisdom, inviting you to tune toward rootedness, nourishment, and connection with the natural world. Ami’s teaching meets you where you are, helping you cultivate balance, spacious breath, and a gentle sense of reawakening.

Come as you are. And we’d love your feedback — please reply to this email with anything that will help us shape this practice for you.

Integrating Teachings

As always, the teachings echo the themes of Rabbi Daniel’s teachings on each month. These teachings help us embody, integrate, and ground deeper into the profound wisdom of the cycles of Jewish time. They remind us that spirituality is not just an abstract concept but a lived experience.

In this way, we can embrace the essence of Jewish mysticism. We learn to integrate these ancient teachings into our daily lives. This integration fosters a deeper, more embodied spiritual practice.
