Running Home (Yom Kippur)
Dreamers is a musical collaboration between Rabbi Avram Mlotek and AJS Director Rabbi Daniel Raphael Silverstein (Danny Raphael).
This new Dreamers song, Running Home (Yom Kippur) is about Teshuvah - returning to ourselves and our Divine root - and forgiveness.
It explores the choices and journeys we all make in our lives, how we might sometimes be tempted to run away from our own destiny, and how we might eventually find our way home.
The song draws on some of the foundational texts of Yom Kippur - The Book of Jonah (Yonah) and the story of Jacob and Esau, which our Sages connect to the rituals of the day.
The song is part of the New Chapter EP for the High Holidays, which you can find on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp and wherever else you find your music.
